Zimbabwe Commemorates Africa Mask Week

Zimbabwe has joined the rest of Africa in commemorating the #AfricaMaskWeek in which everyone is being encouraged to continue wearing masks so as to avoid the continued spread of the  deadly Covid- 19.

The Africa Mask Week is being commemorated for 7 days from 23 to 30 November.

The Ministry of Health and Child Care posted on their twitter handle that one of the effective ways to curb the spread of the Covid -19 is to wear a mask.

“Did you know wearing a mask is one of the effective ways to reduce the spread of Covid-19? Show you care for your loved ones, #WearAMask to protect your friends, families & our community.” They said.

In partnership with the Pandemic Action Network, the African Union Office of the Youth Envoy, African Youth Front on Coronavirus, Resolve to Save Lives, and over 70 other organizations, Africa CDC launched this campaign to encourage and increase consistent and proper mask-wearing across Africa.
