The whole country has been receiving heavy rains these past few days with flooding in most places especially in the Masvingo province and as if that is not enough, the Meteorological service department (Met) has predicted more rains between today and tomorrow.
In a statement, Met said, today scattered thunderstorms coupled with thunderstorms are expected in most parts of the country.
” Scattered thunderstorms are expected in the Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South, Bulawayo and Harare Metropolitan, northern areas of the Midlands, Manicaland as well as all Mashonaland province. These may be coupled with heavy downpours in excess of 50mm in places.” The statement read in part.
For tomorrow, Masvingo will be mostly sunny and mild at first becoming cloudy with isolated afternoon and evening showers whilst the rest of the country will experience widespread thunderstorms associated with heavy downpours in excess of 50 millimeters in excess.
