The President Emmerson Mnangagwa has left the Country today for Mozambique to discuss the Islamist insurgency in the neighboring country.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Nick Mangwana posted on his twitter handle that the president hasĀ arrived safely in Mozambique for his regional engagement.
”His excellency President ED Mnangagwa has safely arrived in Mozambique for his regional engagement.”
The PresidentĀ was seen off by the Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, service chiefs and other government officials.
Mozambique is said to have been hit by an Islamist insurgency that has killed more than 2000 people and left thousands homeless.
The President is expected to join other SADC leaders for SADC Troika meeting, a continuation of the Gaborone 27 November Summit.
