MDC Alliance spokesperson, Fadzai Mahere says the government should focus more on the issue of not paying nurses a decent salary rather than blaming the MDC Alliance which has nothing to do with it.
Posting on her twitter handle, Mahere said, ” Zanu Pf Blames its failure to respond to the concerns of nurses on the MDC Alliance. How absurd. They run on this entire sector. Why cant they take responsibility for their chronic under funding in the public health sector. Why not pay nurses a decent wage.” The post reads.
The Newsday reported that, Zanu Pf acting spokesperson Patrick Chinamasa said nurses have a broader opposition agenda to destabilize the government.
They reported that the ruling party (Zanu Pf ) said the tendency of the nurses to strike from time to time is meant to affect the President Emerson Mnangagwa’s administration.
