Government Prepares For Schools Reopening

Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Monica Mutsvangwa says preparations are underway for schools reopening with Covid-19 control measures informed by World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines being put in place to avoid a spike in infections when classes resume and with school health co-ordinators being trained.

Minister Mutsvangwa said there was collaboration between the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education and the Ministry of Health and Child Care to set the stage for classes’ resumption.

Schools were set to open on January 4th  but therefore postponed when Covid-19 cases spiked leading to the country going into a lock down.
