The Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) has over the weekend, issued licences to three more radio stations namely Shashe Community Radio in Beitbridge, Avuxeni FM in Chiredzi and Lyeja -Nyayi for Hwange and Victoria Falls.
In a statement, BAZ said the licensed radio stations should operate within 18 months or risk their licences taken back.
“After licensing the stations should be operational within 18 months failure of which the licences will be automatically revoked as stipulated by the Broadcasting Services Act.” The statement read.
BAZ also issued campus radio licences to three academic institutions namely National University of Science and Technology, Lupane State University and Harare Polytechnic College.
