President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed former Zanu Pf political commissar, Victor Matemadanda as Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Mozambique.
This has been revealed by Zanu Pf secretary for administration, Obert Mpofu.
Matemadanda replaces Lt-General Douglas Nyikayaramba who succumbed to Covid -19 recently.
It has been reported that, thereĀ have been strong suspicion that Matemadanda was removed from the party’s commiserate office because he was fighting with President Mnangagwa’s Godfather July Moyo.
The Newsday reported that, Matemadanda was fired from the post as the party political commissar and assigned to a less glamorous role of heading a diplomatic mission.
