Police has arrested a Murewa man, Denforn Nyamande(35) in connection with the double murder of Angella Bhunu(89) and Felix Taonana Chiodza (87).
Denforn has been found at his hideout at Mutsvairo Village under Chief Seke where he had sought refuge following the gruesome murders he committed.
The bodies of the deceased, Bhunu of Chidziwa Village and Chiodza of Marumisa Village under Chief Mangwende Murewa, were found in different places with deep cuts all over their bodies.
It has been reported that Nyamande is Bhunu’s son and is expected to have murdered the two elderly siblings after accusing the two of practicing witchcraft.
“An axe was found beside Bhunu’s body, while a hole was found next to Chiodza.”The police said in a statement.
The police urged members of the public to shun strange and unjustified counsel from spiritualists.
