Government says it has seen it fit and prudent to dedicate the whole month of April for cleanup programs.
In a statement, Minister of Environment, Water and Climate, Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu said he challenges the nation to leave a mark on the environment in this historic Independence month of April.
“Month of April is dear and historic to us as Zimbabweans because it is the month that we celebrate our Independence. I challenge all of us to leave a mark in our environment as we celebrate the bravery and the tenacity of the sons and daughters of our land whose lives and sacrifices liberated us to be free today.”
The April clean up program will run under the theme: together growing our economy for a prosperous, resilient and inclusive society in a clean and safe environment.
