The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is in pursuit of an Apostolic Sect leader, Madzibaba Tichaona on allegations of rape to a 26 year old woman.
It is alleged that the woman went to madzibaba Tichaona’s shrine next to Irvines Company along New Chitungwiza road in need of spiritual help. She was then made to drink an unknown substance which led her into unconsciousness and unfortunately when the woman finally woke up, she realised that she was raped.
“The ZRP is appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of one, Madzibaba Tichaona NFPK of an apostolic shrine next to Irvines Company along New Chitungwiza Road, Harare in a case of rape.
“On 19/06/21 the suspect demanded USD20.00 from a woman (26) who visited his shrine seeking spiritual assistance. Later, the victim brought the money and was made to drink an unknown substance resulting in her becoming unconscious from 1800 to 2200 hours.
“When the victim regained consciousness, she realised that she had been raped and dumped by the roadside.” Read the statement.
