MDC Alliance member, Makomborero Haruzivishe has been granted a $10 000 bail by High Court Judge Justice Webster Chinamhora.
Haruzivishe was sentenced to 14 months in prison on trumped up charges of ‘resisting lawful arrest and inciting public violence.’
The MDC Alliance confirmed Makomborero’s release on their twitter handle.
“MDC Alliance NEC member and pro-democracy campaigner Makomborero H has been granted $10,000 bail by the High Court. We thank ZLHRLawyers & his lawyer Mr Ncube for working so hard to obtain his release.” wrote MDC Alliance.
Haruzivishe is also facing charges of kidnaping.
