Roki To Fulfil His Promise Of Going Regional?

Resurrected urban grooves musician, Rockford Josphat AKA Roki last week in an exclusive interview with 263times revealed his plans to go regional and become an international superstar. Could his upcoming collaboration with Congolese Soukus Superstar Koffi Olomide bring this dream into reality?

Olomide arrived in Harare on Wednesday afternoon for a collaboration with Roki at Passion Java Records.

In an exclusive interview with 263times, Roki had reviewed his plans to go regional.

“We want to try international participation for our music, you know, it’s nice to compete amongst each other locally but it’s very lame . So now we look into SADC, look into the region, look into international possibility and that’s for a long time what I have been trying to do.” Roki told our reporter on July 8.

Recently Roki released two well-received singles, ending a decade-long hiatus from the music industry.

Meanwhile, on his facebook page, Roki promised his fans fireworks from the collabo with Kofi Olomide which is being produced by Oskid.

“We thank God,” Roki captioned his photos with the Rhumba star.

Tanzanian singer Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa, better known as Rayvanny, is also in the country collaborating with Roki.
