Covid -19 Vaccination Cards Theft On The Rise

The rising in cases of stolen Covid-19 vaccination cards is an issue of concern at this time when the country is battling a rise in Covid-19 cases and the police should work around the clock to ensure that the crime is dealt with.
There have been a lot of reports lately where vaccination cards disappear from hospitals and clinics and a few nurses have already been arrested for selling those cards to most Zimbabweans who are still in denial of the importance of getting Covid -19 jabs.
Most people are against Covid-19 vaccines as they are following various biased theories on social media.
Most employers are now demanding Covid-19 vaccination cards so as to protect everyone on their work places resulting to the anti vaccine populace
buying the cards from nurses around the country and thereby risking the lives of both themselves and their colleagues.
Those culprits buying vaccination cards must ask themselves this one question. Who am I cheating?
It is no longer news that the Covid -19 is now a global pandemic, and Zimbabwe is not excluded.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said they are investigating the theft of 13 Covid-19 vaccination cards and US$35 at a nurse’s house at Nyamaruru Clinic, Madziwa on 28/07/21.
They also said they are investigating circumstances relating to the theft of 45 Covid-19 vaccination cards with serial numbers 00785456 to 00785500, which occurred on 27/07/21 at Beatrice Infectious Diseases Hospital.
The police should take this crime very serious or Zimbabwe will never be free from the Covid-19 virus.
According to the Ministry of health, as of yesterday, Zimbabwe had 105 656 confirmed cases, including 73 394 recoveries and 3 421 deaths.
