National Constitutional Assembly (NCA) President, Professor Lovemore Madhuku says he believe that the role of the state is to raise the standard of living for everyone particularly those who are marginalized because life is about all citizens of Zimbabwe.
In an interview with 263times, Professor Madhuku said people are now aware of the NCA party hence he is expecting to get thousands of votes.
“All the past performances were learning capes, people now know the NCA party much better after the 2018 elections, which was more of introducing ourselves to Zimbabweans, proving that we are a serious political party.
“ The votes we got are not an indication of the votes we will get in the future but an indication that where we got 5 votes we expect to get thousands of votes and where we got thousand votes we expect to get hundred thousand of votes,” he said
Moreover, Madhuku stated that the people that will vote for his party are people who actually see that there is room for NCA to provide the needs of people.
“We are being clear to the people that they will benefit more from multipart-ism especially young people who believe in multipart-ism of ideas, clear ideas that focus on healthy and education.
“We also focus on empowerment of ordinary people whereby there is a fair distribution of wealthy from the rich to the poor,” he said
Meanwhile, Madhuku urged people to go and register to vote and not minding what people say about one political party winning all the time.
“The battle is to have people vote sufficiently, I very much believe that in this country what is important is for people to have a decisive vote against Zanu Pf and insure that the vote is announced so they should just focus on voting.
“Let’s reach for a situation where an announcement will be made that someone who is not Zanu has won, the right to vote belongs to every citizen,” Madhuku added.
Lovemore Madhuku made headlines end of July when he was among the 19 POLAD officials who were given cars by President Mnangagwa.
