The Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CRZ) has applauded President Emmerson Mnangagwa for relaxing Covid-19 restrictions.
Two weeks back the CRZ had appealed to the government to extend working hours for retailers as the current working hours were putting a huge strain on their business.
In a statement, Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CRZ) president, Mr Denford Mutashu said they are grateful on the relaxion of Covid-19 restrictions.
“The Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CRZ) applauds President Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa for relaxing Covid -19 restrictions by announcing a level 2 lockdown in order to curb the global pandemic,” said Mutashu.
Mutashu encouraged retailers and everyone else to continue adhering to the Covid-19 preventive measures.
“Despite the latest relaxion, CRZ urges business and the general public to strictly adhere to the measures.
“Let us all remain vigilant and save lives and livelihoods, CRZ urges people to continue getting vaccinated since the country is in a state of war against the invisible enemy,” added Mutashu.
Yesterday president Mnangagwa relaxed Covid-19 regulations with businesses operating from 8am to 7pm.
