Passengers Association of Zimbabwe Condemns Zupco Murder

The Passengers Association of Zimbabwe has condemned murder by passengers following a shooting that took life of a 22 years old bus conductor on Monday due to unknown circumstances.

It is alleged that on Monday around 9pm, the last passenger to disembark the Lofombo Zupco bus at Kadada shops in Dzivarasekwa 4 shot the conductor and fled the scene.

The police however arrested a suspect, Campion Marowa (35) who is a security guard and was found in possession of a 38 Astra revolver with two spent cartridges.

The Passenger Association of Zimbabwe adviced fellow passengers to air out their grievances in a peaceful manner than resolving to violence.

“We strongly condemn such kind of behaviour. We advice fellow passengers to address any misunderstanding amicably and desist from the use of force, if it happens there are any misunderstandings.

“Passengers Association of Zimbabwe disassociate itself from such members of the public who take the law into their hands. The law must take it’s course to apprehend those who cause agony and strife among the peace loving citizens.” The Passengers Association of Zimbabwe said in a statement.

The deceased woman conductor was identified as Joyce Kuzhumbwa and will be buried at her rural home in Buhera tomorrow.
