The Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS) which was supposed to start today, will open tomorrow with strict adherence to Covid 19 regulations.
ZAS opening was delayed as the board is completing preparations for the commencement of the show tomorrow.
Addressing journalists in Harare today, ZAS Chief Executive officer Dr Andrew Matibiri said the show will commence tomorrow with strict adherence to COVID-19 prevention measures.
“In order to contain the spread of COVID-19 global pandemic, the show will be held with strict adherence to the COVID-19, MOH and WHO regulations.” He said.
Dr Matibiri added that every entrance at ZAS will be equipped with a walk sanitiser booth and drone surveillance shall be used to manage the crowds as a way to prevent the spread of the corona virus.
ZAS also assured the nation that vaccinated and unvaccinated people are both allowed to attend the show but unvaccinated people will be tested before entering.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe Red cross Society and Ministry of Health have set up vaccination centres during the 6 day Show for visitors conveniences.
The official opening of the show will be held on Thursday this week.
