Tanzania Vanquish Zimbabwe at COSAFA

Twiga Stars from Tanzania beat Zimbabwe 3-0 during the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in South Africa.

The three goals were scored by Donisia Minja, Mwanahamisi Omary and Aisha Masaka in the 42nd 63rd and 90th minutes of the game.

Mwanahamisi Omary was awarded the player of the match after she displaying an outstanding game.

Tanzanian Ladies stand at the second place of Group B behind Botswana, which hammered South Sudan 7-0.

Botswana coach Thabo Motang was blissful by how the team won against south Sudan.

Zimbabwe is standing at the third position, while South Sudan is tailing at the bottom.

Group A began their campaign this Tuesday, while Angola had a draw 2-2 draw with Mozambique

Zeferina Caupe and Yara Lima from Angola scored the goals while from Mozambique it was Cidalia Cuta and Albertina Pondja who scored.

Another Group A encounter involved the host South Africa who defeated Malawi 2-1. Noxolo Cesane and Melinda Kgadiete scored the goals Wezzie Mvula handed Malawi a consolation goal.

 South Africa is leading with three points in the other group a, followed by Angola and Mozambique, both teams are standing at one point which makes them to be at the bottom of the group.

Group C involves Eswatini, Namibia, Uganda and Zambia.
