West Indies Women To Tour Pakistan For Three ODIs

West Indies will fly to Zimbabwe after its three ODI’s in Pakistan Karachi in November for the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers which starts on November 21.

The matches will be held from November 8 to November 14 at Karachi’s National Stadium.

Earlier in the year, Pakistan toured West Indies for three T20Is and five ODIs, with the hosts winning 3-0 and 3-2, respectively.

Jonny Grave, CEO of Cricket West Indies, said the trip to Pakistan would be excellent preparation for the upcoming World Cup qualifying tournament. West Indies will be one of 10 teams in Zimbabwe competing for three spots at the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup.

“This reciprocal tour to Pakistan is an important part of our preparation plans ahead of the World Cup qualifying tournament that is scheduled to take place in Zimbabwe in mid-November,” Grave said.

“This tour to Pakistan will give the team the chance to play in different conditions compared to the Caribbean and have more high level competitive cricket ahead of aiming to secure one of the three qualifying spots available for the Women’s Cricket World Cup next year.”

Grave also discussed the team’s security measures following the recent withdrawals of New Zealand Men and England Men and Women from tours of Pakistan.

“The security plan arranged by the PCB is the same high level that the West Indies men’s and women’s teams received when they last toured Pakistan in 2018 and 2019, respectively,” said Grave.
