Government owned postal company, Zimbabwe Posts {ZIMPOST}has launched the post money transfer system which will help Zimbabweans to send and receive money in local and foreign currencies.
The money transfer service will work with all communication networks like Telecel, Econet and Netone whilst allowing all types of smartphones to send and receive money.
Post money will also necessitate payments of pensions, tax, airtime top up, government projects, social grants, international remittances, savings, loans and insurances.

“The ZimPost money sender we are lauching today will offer person to person superior service and technical products which will support ZimPost financial business.
“With ZimPost money customers will be able to send and receive money across all networks. They will be able to transfer money from their bank accounts into their wallets or vice versa,” he said.
Meanwhile ZimPost Board Chairman Mr Kainet Moyo also stressed that this money transfer project will focus on helping all Zimbabweans regardless of their social, political or cultural backgrounds.
“We are saying every Zimbabwean poor, rich or whatever you are we should be able to make use of financial services having to transact and send money, this is part of the digitalization process in the financial sector,” said Moyo.
ZimPost was once renowned as the leading postal, communication and financial services provider in Zimbabwe with a postal network of over 250 outlets.
