Biti And Chamisa Tarnished Zim Image-Zanu Pf

The ruling Zanu Pf through three youth organisations have accused Citizens Coalition for Change {CCC] president Nelson Chamisa and his deputy Tendai Biti of portraying a negative image on Zimbabwe to the United States of America {USA}.

The three Zanu PF youth organisations which accused the CCC party consists of Children of Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Associations {CZNLWVA}, Zimbabwe Ex-Political Prisoners, Detainees and Restrictees {ZEPPDR} and Zimbabwe National Liberation War Collaborators Trust {ZNLWCT}.

This claim comes after Chamisa and Biti are always seen visiting America for personal reasons.

Addressing journalists in Harare yesterday, Chairman of Children of War Veterans Struggle comrade Mhlanga said Zanu PF is aware of the reasons why Chamisa and Biti always visit the USA.

He added that Biti and Chamisa’s visits to the USA are done with an agenda of portraying a “negative” image on Zimbabwe to America.

“Whenever there are circumstances which can arise in this country we are seeing the likes of Chamisa and Tendai Biti. They were together sometimes. They travel to the USA to present a state of Zimbabwe.

“They portrayed a negative picture about our country and some issues which they raised are fallacies and myths so don’t proclaim these as allegations. These are not allegations. We are talking about things which can be proved whereby they go to the USA and negatively present Zimbabwe,” he said.

Mhlanga also added that Zanu Pf had destroyed the colonial “antics” meant to tarnish the history of Zimbabwe and development.

He said the ruling party was totally against the USA and its allies hegemony insisting that Zimbabwe is a sovereign state hence it holds the power to exercise its affairs independently.

However, Citizens Coalition for Change vice president advocate Tendai Biti told 263times that the allegations are false.

He insisted that the US was not involved in sabotaging and controlling Zimbabwe but the corruption in Zanu PF had destroyed the economy.

“The sanction in Zimbabwe is Zanu Pf. They stole 15 billion US dollars of diamonds, it has stolen billion dollars in platinum and gold concessions. A billion dollars is being smuggled in Zimbabwe. For 42 years they deliberately underdeveloped this country hence the only sanction in Zimbabwe is Zanu Pf,” he said.
