Tapiwa Mapanzure (18) of Tazvigwira Village has been sentenced to four years in jail for sleeping several times with his boss’ daughter who he was in love with.
The complainant who is aged only 13 is doing Grade 7.
Mapanzure who appeared before Magistrate Patience Madondo, committed the crime in October 2021, The Mirror heard. Tarisai Muvengi stood for the State.
The crimes were committed in Mahosi Village under Chief Charumbira.
The Mirror also attended the court session.
Mapanzure proposed love to the complainant sometime last year and the two started dating. The accused began to have unprotected consensual sexual intercourse with the complainant on different occasions.
The matter come to light last week when the complainant’s uncle Phinias Masocha was tipped by other villagers and the complainant conceded on being questioned.
The issue was reported to Masvingo Central Police on February 7, 2022 and the complainant was referred to hospital for medical examination.
