A grade seven pupil has been arrested in Masvingo facing murder charges.
He is accused of killing a four year old minor at Goko Primary school in Zaka last week.
The incident is said to have occured during a fight that the accused had with a classmate, when he allegedly missed his target and struct the victim with a stone.
In a statement, Zimbabwe Republic Police ZRP said it is carrying out investigations on the case.
“The ZRP is investigating a murder case in which a 14 year old grade 7 pupil killed a 4 year old ECD pupil at Goko Primary School, Zaka on the 16th of February.
“The suspect fatally struck the victim on the head with a stone after missing the intended target, a 13 year old classmate whom he was fighting with,” the statement read.
ZRP said the suspect was arrested and released into custody of his parents
