South Africa: Hip hop artist, Riky Rick, will be laid to rest Tuesday morning at a private funeral in Johannesburg. The rapper, whose real name is Rikhado Makhado, committed suicide on Wednesday last week allegedly due to depression.
The Kotini hitmaker was not just a rapper but also a fashion icon and a songwriter. He was born in 1987 in Umlazi, Durban. Makhado leaves behind his wife and two children.
The family has planned an intimate gathering for his send-off.
Close friends and family will gather for a special Tribute Celebration on Friday, March 4.
The family says they are deeply moved by the global outpouring of support over the past few days.
