
Delta Corporation has donated physiotherapy equipment worth US$50 000 to Sally Mugabe Hospital to improve mobility to patients referred to the physiotherapy department at the Hospital.
Speaking during the handover ceremony at Sally Mugabe Hospital this morning, Delta Corporation General Manager- Corporate Affairs, Ms Patricia Murambinda said as Delta Corporation they are obliged to give back to the community in which they operate in.
“The project is in line with our focused sustainability platform to give access to a healthier world in the communities where we operate.
“As market leaders we have a responsibility to make a meaningful difference – to empower and protect the communities and the environment in which we operate.” She said.
Meanwhile, Sally Mugabe Hospital acting CEO, Dr Christopher Pasi told this publication that the donation is going to go a long way in transforming lives.
“This donation is going to go a long way in making sure that our physiotherapy department is able to offer all forms of rehabilitative therapy that is required by patients at our hospital.
“These are patients who may have surgical conditions, medical conditions, post operative or other diseases which require them to be put back into restoration to normal functions.” He said.
Dr Pasi added that more that 400 patients receive physiotherapy treatment at the hospital every week.
