Vana Vedu Trust Seek For Help

Vana Vedu Trust Organization Founder And Executive Director, Chipo Muhamba says she is seeking funding for their humanitarian work in Chitungwiza.

Speaking during a tour in Chitungwiza which was held by the The Zimbabwe Union of Journalist (ZUJ) on Tuesday, Mrs Mahamba said she is lacking funding to improve her organisation.

“We need money to rent a bigger office and buy furniture for use in our office, so when donors visit us they will not hesitate to help us, we are missing national days which we have to commemorate due to lack of money, we want to do a lot of programmes but unfortunately we don’t have money. We need an amount of 15 000us per year,” she said.

In an interview with 263times, one of the beneficiaries who spoke on condition on anonymity said her life has changed due to the help she is getting from Vana Vedu Trust.

“I am grateful with the help I am always getting from Vana Vedu Trust, I could not take care of these children by myself since I don’t have a husband to help me take care of these four children,” she said.

Vana Vedu Trust also takes care of old people one of them aged 100. Last year around Christmas they donated rice and Chicken to poor families in Chitungwiza, Seke.

Vana Vedu Trust is a non-profit making organization which aims at improving the lives of growing children, in Chitungwiza, Seke.
