ZESA To Cut Electricity Purchasing System

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), a subsidiary of ZESA has advised its customers to immediately purchase enough electricity units which will cover from 22 to 24 April this month.

In a statement, ZESA said their customers may fail to purchase electricity normally during the upgrading period hence they need to purchase enough electricity before the cut off date.

“ZETDC advises that during the planned maintenance period customers will not be able to purchase electricity units normally and they are encouraged to buy enough power to sustain them during this planned upgrading period,” reads the statement.

The slated period will enable the power utility company to upgrade prepaid electricity vending systems.
