Zera Increases Fuel Prices

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority {ZERA} has increased petrol and diesel prices.

In a statement, ZERA said the price of petrol has gone up from US1.64 to US1.68 dollars, while diesel prices rose from US1.71 to US1.74 dollars.

“The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio is now at E15. Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should fuel display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel  pricing regulations,” reads the statement.

ZERA generally announces new fuel prices at the beginning of each month with modest increases being effected.

Increasing fuel prices may result in the cost of consumer products also going up.
