US$1000 Reward For DJ Tira Passport

South African award-winning music producer DJ Tira(Mthokozi Khathi) is offering a reward to anyone who returns his passport.

DJ Tira lost his passport after staging a show in Gwanda during the weekend leading him to stay in Zimbabwe longer than he had anticipated.

He managed to return to South Africa after being issued travel documents by the South African Embassy on Monday.

DJ Tira said he only discovered that his passport was missing at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport in Bulawayo when he was about to board a plane back to South Africa on Sunday morning. He said he was sure the passport was at a guest house he was staying in Gwanda.

DJ Tira said he was devastated when the guesthouse staff could not find the passport. He said:

I was staying at a guest house in Gwanda. I only discovered the passport was missing when I arrived to board the flight on Sunday at 11am, my flight was at 1235hrs in Bulawayo. I blame myself for not checking if the passport was in my bag before I left the guest house, and I was sure it was at the guest house, but when the guest house staff couldn’t find it, I was devastated.

In a post on his Facebook account on Friday, DJ Tira announced he was offering a reward to anyone who returned his passport. The musician said he is offering US$1000 for the return of his passport. He wrote the message in English and Shona.

DJ Tira said:

I have a reward of $1000 (USD) for anyone to return my passport.

Ndine mubairo we1000 kune munhu anodzosa passport yangu yakarasika.

The musician is expected back in Zimbabwe for a show at Odyssey Lodge in Kadoma. DJ Tira will perform together with Nox Guni and is expected to return to Zimbabwe on Friday morning for the show.
