Real Estate Agencies Launch A Flashy Golf Tournament

The Estate Agency Council of Zimbabwe (EACZ) on Thursday launched an arousing first golf tournament in Harare to raise funds for deprived families of the society.

The event was attended by various real estate companies across the country to share ideas and exchange knowledge on the ease of doing business.

EACZ golf tournament came out of the strategy session done three years ago that a regulatory body should have a positive relationship with the public by fostering social corporal responsibility.

Addressing journalists after the tournament, Estate Agents Chairman Mr. Nicodemus Kuipa said they will soon venture into another exciting game, “like a fun run with the focus to raise money to cater for the underprivileged members of the society”.

Kuipa, who won the second price of the inaugural golf tournament, revealed how he managed the game despite being the Estate Agency Council of Zimbabwe chairman.

“I have been playing golf for quite some time in excess for 10 to 15 years, so the thrust on my part was also to show people that despite taking responsibility to lead an organisation you can also be a champion in other activities like the golf tournament,” he said.

The real estate agents who participated in the tournament were Great Zimbabwe Realtors, Estate Agents Zimbabwe, Public Protection Through Professionalism and Oasis Realty.

Participants of the tournament scooped different awards, including Mr. Kuipa, who came second from man of the moment, Mr. A Toronga, who managed 47 points and came out first.

Holding a huge silver trophy with a smile, Toronga appreciated the special occasion and paid a curtesy call to the Chairman Mr. Kuipa.

“I want to give thanks to Kuipa, who invited me. Going on to the field l started with a par, played very well. I pared all the holes. I have played golf for over 20 years and l want to thank all of you for your support,” he said.

The next EACZ golf tournament will be played next year on a date yet to be announced.
