The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), a subsidiary of ZESA, has apologized to its customers for the current persistent power outages, which have hit all parts of the country.
In a statement, ZETDC said harsh weather conditions in some parts of the country have further exacerbated the situation.
The power utility added that it is working tirelessly to restore everything in order.
“The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company would like to apologize to its valued nationwide for increased power outages. This is due to increased windy conditions affecting some parts of the country, leading to increased faults incidences.
“Our teams are working round the clock to ensure full restoration of service,” reads the statement.
Recently, the government said the current power outages will be addressed when they replace the outlived power plants at Hwange Power Station and other thermal plants like Munyati.
However, ordinary Zimbabweans, especially those living in high-density suburbs, are severely affected by the power cuts, as they have no alternative energy sources.
