ZERA Reduces Petrol Prices Marginally

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reduced the price of petrol with effect from October 26.

Diesel has remained at US$1.73 per liter, while petrol prices have gone down to US$1.54 from US$1.56.

Although fuel is hardly sold in Zimbabwe dollars, ZERA announced new prices in the local currency.

“Diesel is now ZWL$1.094.77, up from ZWL$1.088.80 per litre. Petrol is now ZWL$976.17, up from ZWL$981.67 per litre,” reads the statement.

ZERA said the blending ratio remains at E20, adding that operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages, and should display prices in a prominent place as provided by the fuel pricing regulations.
