Zimbabwe’s fairytale run over the past five months has continued after the Chevrons stunned Pakistan by one run at the T20 World Cup today.
The Zimbabweans bowled brilliantly to defend a paltry 130 against the Asian giants, who looked on course to win the Super 12 tie.
But Zimbabwe’s rookie pacer Brad Evans held his nerves in the final over, in which Pakistan needed 11 runs to win.
Evans started badly, but recovered well to leave Pakistan, needing three runs off the last ball.
The delivery resulted in a run-out by wicketkeeper Regis Chakabva.
