Zimbabwean News You Can Trust
Zimbabwean socialite, Prophet Passion Java real name Panganai Java has waded on the current eye catching Aljazeera episode one documentary insisting that Zimbabwe’s top ambassador Prophet Uebert Angel is innocent.
Uebert Angel who is the presidential envoy to the Americas and Europe is seen in Episode 01 of Al Jazeera’s documentary titled Gold Mafia which was released yesterday.
He appears as laundering money on behalf of the president who gave him absolute power to make treaties with other countries without even getting the president involved.
The documentary has received a comprehensive debate across all social media platforms.
Posting on his twitter handle CCC leader advocate Nelson Chamisa said the dazzling documentary clearly exposé how those in power are looting and destroying the country’s economy.
He said, “Aljazeera documentary exposes the extend of the rot at the top, but its just the tip of the iceberg. This clearly shows how corrupt, rotten and broken leadership has destroyed a jewel and a great country. Zimbabwe is not poor but it is poorly governed.
Award winning veteran journalist, Hopewell Chino’no also said that the Aljazeera documentary has opened eyes for Zimbabweans to discover some shady deals which were materializing behind their backs.
“We learn that Angel’s Ambassador-at-Large position is to allow him to move illegal and looted things including money without being searched. We learn that he has done this with up to US$300 million. We learn that he has the blessing of a high up authority to do this,” posted Chino’no.
But Prophet Passion Java who is also a close ally to President Emmerson Mnangagwa audaciously defended Uebert Angel’s “greasy” deals insisting that the man of cloth is doing his job.
He said, “You talking about Aljazeera exposing prophet Uebert Angel why? Uebert Angel have never done these scandals, but when he supports Mnangagwa and became an ambassador documentaries like this resurface. What people don’t know is that Uebert Angel’s ambassador status isn’t because of education but his job is to bring investors in Zimbabwe.
“His duty is to bring business people in Zimbabwe because vision 2030 is saying Zimbabwe is open for business. In doing his job he has got the liberty to find ways to bring investors in Zimbabwe. What people don’t know is that Aljazeera don’t just publish documentaries like that, it was paid to do this, its politics.”
In the Aljazeera documentary Uebert Angel said that President Emmerson Mnangagwa will be in power until he dies.
He made the remarks while meeting Al Jazeera’s undercover reporters who posed as gangsters with up to a billion dollars of black money that need to be cleaned. He told the undercover reporters:
“Let me just say don’t worry about the President. Don’t worry about him. This president will be president until he dies.”
