The MDC youth assembly has sternly warned Hon Elias Mudzuri to desist from using their party symbols and logo during press conferences insisting he had ceased to be a party member.
In a statement, the youth Assembly said it planted agents in all provinces to “ruthlessely” trash notorious enemies.
“The MDC youth assembly is disturbed by the continued use of our party symbols and logs by one Elias Mudzuri who is not a member of our party.
“As MDC youth Assembly, we would like to categorically state and make it clear that we don’t have anyone by the name Elias Mudzuri in our party. We don’t have anything to do with Mudzuri and it has come to our attention that he has been conducting illegal gatherings under the MDC banner.
“Currently, we are watching closely and have put all our troops in all provinces on high alert and will not hesitate to thwart anyone of those shenanigans,” said the disgruntled MDC youth assembly.
They added that their unwavering support will go to party members who were nominated to represent MDC at the recent party congress.
“As the youth Assembly we remain solidly behind the congress chosen authority of President Douglas Mwonzora as we prepare for general elections.”
The MDC youth assembly warning comes after Mwonzora had expelled engineer Elias Mudzuri, following a fallout between the two. Mudzuri was expelled with several members of the party, who were alleged to have undermined the leadership of Mwonzora by claiming that he was not legitimately elected.
Mwonzora also demoted senior party member, Morgen Komichi, by reducing him to a mere secretary in the powerful power organ, the standing committee of the party.
Meanwhile, efforts to hear from Hon Elias Mudzuri were fruitless as he was not picking up during the time of this publication.
