Zimbabwean News You Can Trust
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has announced that the crunch 2023 general elections will be held in August.
Without mentioning the actual date Mnangagwa urged citizens to vote for ZANU PF to preserve their cultural heritage and independence.
The octogenarian stated that Zimbabweans should be proud of their cultural identity, rooted in the liberation struggle. He advised his supporters to choose between “those that are lost” and “those on track,” implying ZANU PF is the right choice.
“Let’s keep our heritage by voting for Zanu PF. Elections will be held in August, I am releasing a little bit of information. We must vote for our cultural heritage which was fought for by Zanu PF. Respect for black people was brought by Zanu PF. So you must decide which side you would want to be counted on, either the side of those that are lost or the side for people who are on track. If you want to go along with me talk the language of Zanu PF,” said President Mnangagwa.
Meanwhile Vice President Constantino Chiwenga said Zimbabweans must prepare for the forthcoming elections, which will be held peaceably.
