Palestinian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Tamer Almassri has emotionally condemned the US two state solution insisting that it is a tool being used by Americans to protect Israel.
He said this in Harare last week Thursday while addressing different churches who had gathered to express their solidarity with the people of Palestine in regards with the current Israeli occupation.
Addressing churches, Almassri briefly explained how European countries like Britain and France wittingly dismantled the Palestinian land during the colonial period. He said the Israelites would “soon leave the Palestinian land.”
“Israel is one of the last apartheid regimes that is protected by colonial powers. Israeli have no roots in Palestine hence sooner or later they will leave our country.”
“Unfortunately the US is the main power who is standing against the two state solution by talking that we want the two state solution but unfortunately when the international community want to impose the two state solution, we find the veto in front of us. So the hypocrisy is very clear now and it should be condemned from everybody.
“The American administrations unfortunately is not fair in our conflict, they support Israeli’s crimes against our children and our women because the Israeli’s apartheid use the American missiles and rockets.” Said Ambassador Almasri.
The envoy also urged the US to remove “illegal sanctions” against Zimbabwe.
He said “We as the Palestinian embassy in Harare call on the removal of illegal sanctions today not tomorrow. And we will continue to fight for the removal of the illegal sanctions against Zimbabwe.”
Bishop Brian Mugavazi, who is the president of the Apostolic Bishops Network said at the meeting that as churches they would soon visit Palestine in order to try assist in resolving the decades long dispute.

“We are pushing for a number of Bishops more from Zimbabwe to experience the situation on the ground so we are pushing before the end of the year to travel to Palestine so that we can put more pressure on the regime for them to use more generous measures in resolving this dispute,” he said.
