Chelsea Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino has pledged to restore the true identity of the blues.

Pochettino’s sentiment comes after Chelsea performed dismally last season, failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League since 2017.

Revealing his vision in an official interview as Chelsea Head Coach for the upcoming season, Pochettino implored players to embrace team work.

He said, “It’s a pleasure and an honor to now be involved with Chelsea Football Club. We are so excited and you know, I know very well Chelsea is one of the greatest clubs in the world.”

“It’s exciting for us, and what we want is to bring the happiness again to this great football club. We’ll work hard, play in a way the fans can enjoy football, and the history of Chelsea is to win…”

“We have an unbelievable squad and for sure we are going to bring players with commitment who want to be part of it also. With the fans and everyone, we can find again the way to be successful.”

“The most important thing is that players and staff need to feel that it is our home. It’s not only a place to come to work, it’s to come here and feel like home. Our responsibility is to help create this feeling…”

“I always believe that together we can achieve everything – you can’t put a limit. We are going to try to fight with this to be all together on a fantastic journey together.”

Mauricio Pochettino officially became Chelsea head coach on Saturday, but entered Cobham on Monday morning ready to tackle his first day of pre-season with his new players.

The Blues have already signed six new players this summer, but only Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson will come straight into the senior squad.

Currently a total of ten players have left Chelsea, including Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic, Eduard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, N’Golo Kante and Mason Mount.
