The Supreme Court has today thrown away an appeal by Independent Presidential candidate Saviour Kasukuwere, who sought to overturn a High Court ruling which barred him from contesting in this year’s harmonized elections.
The Apex court threw away Kasukuwere’s appeal but did not give the reasons.
The burly former Zanu Of political Commissar’s Chief Election Agent Jaqueline Sande said they were going to take further steps to challenge the ruling.
“This is not the end of the road,” said Sande. “We are still persisting with the fight so will be letting you know and updating you on the next stage.”
She added that despite the Court challenges, they had already started campaigning.
“We are working flat out to mobilize people to vote for Kasukuwere come August 23,” she said.
