Mufakose Men Nabbed For Stealing Chickens

Three men from Mufakose suburb are in hot soup after allegedly stealing Chickens.

The three are alleged to have broke into Raylton Munonoki’s fowl run while he was away attending his mother’s funeral.

Munonoki had left the fowl run under the watch of his younger brothers.

The stolen stock are three jersey giant chickens.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Harare Provincial spokesperson, Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the incident and said investigations were in progress.

“On 05 August 2023, the complaint left his fowl run in custody of his young brothers whilst attending to his mother’s funeral. He then returned around 0100 hours on the same day but he did not check the fowl run.

“On 08 August 2023 around 1300 hours, complainant discovered that the accused persons connived with his friends to steal the stock and exchanged 03 jersey giant chickens with three ducks to Michael RUJUWA of 71 Mugoriwondo, Mufakose, Harare.

“The accused then went away with the ducks. A report was made on 9 August 2023 at ZRP Marimba. Scene was attended and one accused was arrested, whilst the other 2 accused persons are still at large. Total value stolen is US$500-00 and nothing was recovered,” reads the docket.
