Try Us- Chamisa Pleads

Zimbabwean News You Can Trust

The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) President Nelson Chamisa has pleaded with Zimbabweans to vote for him in the watershed August 23 harmonized elections.

Addressing tens of thousands of his supporters in Harare today, the CCC leader said if elected into power he is going to transform Zimbabwe’s ailing economy.

“You once tried us during the Government of National Unity and this time we are going to transform this nation,” he said.

He said unity will restore the legacy which Zimbabwe once had.

“Let us move the country together,” he said. Let us unite and let us move together.”

Chamisa also implored his supporters to defend their vote. He said this will block any form of rigging by the ruling party ZANU PF in collusion with ZEC.

“Just maintain your 300 meters from the polling station, but you have to defend your vote,” he said.

The 45-year old opposition leader also applauded the SADC election observers for gracing the event.

“We want to welcome former President of Mozambique Mr Chisano, we thank you sir for being with us today and please enjoy your stay in Zimbabwe.”

On Wednesday Chamisa will lock horns with President Emmerson Mnangagwa in a highly contested poll which seek to end the 43 year rule of Zanu PF.
