CCC Dismisses Reports It Lodge A Court Application To Challenge Election Results

The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has dismissed claims that they have lodge an appeal agains’t this year’s Presidential election results with the Constitutional Court.

This  came after social media reports that the CCC leader Nelson Chamisa is seeking nullification of the August 23 election via the Courts.

The report also said renowned legal practitioner  and Chamisa’s legal adviser Advocate Thabani Mpofu will be representing the party.

According to the CCC spokesperson Promise Mkwanzi the claims “are not factual.”

Mkwananzi refused to preempt the course of action his party is taking to challenge President Mnangagwa’s re-election, which was described by regional and international observers as flawed.

As for this week, CCC Deputy Spokesperson Gift Ostallos Siziba said the only solution to the just ended  disputed poll is to have a re-run with the supervision of regional and international observers.

This was however rubbished by the ruling party ZANU PF which said the CCC proposal was not possible considering President Emmerson Mnangagwa “fairly” won the plebiscite.
