In a shocking incident that has left the whole Harare community in disbelief, Zimbabwean Police (ZRP) have arrested 20yr old Thandolwenkosi Ndlovu, in connection with five (5) cases of murder and suspected cannibalism.
Ndlovu’s arrest comes after a terrible week of gruesome murders that targeted “street kids” in the country’s capital.
Some of the victims were found dead mutilated with their genitalia removed and chests opened in a case of suspected ritual murder.
In a statement, the ZRP confirmed the arrests. This comes after a crack team of female detectives were assigned the task of investigating the spate of murders that had gripped city streets.
“The suspect who is believed to be living in the streets would target “street kids” who will be fast asleep and crush them and open the victims stomach to remove genitals and other body parts using empty broken bottles. The suspect would then boil or braai the human parts on any open fire place and consume them while in the Harare Central Business District.
“On being arrested, the suspect was positively linked to five murder cases which occured on 28th August 2023 at the corner of George Silundika Avenue and Simon Muzenda Street, Harare, 01st September 2023 at the corner of Inez Terrace Road and Robert Mugabe Rd, Harare, 03rd September 2023 at the corner of Nelson Mandela Avenue and 7th Street and 04th September 2023 at the corner Cripps Rd and Remembrance Rd, Harare,” reads the statement.
