Ruwa Family Loses US$6400 & Other Valueables To Armed Robbers After Break-in

A Ruwa family was left counting its loses after a five man gang allegedly broke into their home and robbed them of valuables and cash at gun point.

According to a report made to the police, the assailants, who are yet to yet to be identified or arrested broke into the house while the family was asleep, before waking everyone up and demanding cash at gunpoint.

The suspects allegedly assaulted Mr Newman Chikwiri in front of his wife, children and brother before ransacking the house and getting away with US$6452.00.

The suspects, who had a get away car parked outside the gate, also allegedly stole a Tecno pop 7 cellphone, Honor A5, Itel cellphone, a wallet with national ID card.

The matter was reported at ZRP Ruwa under case number IR 616/23.

Harare Provincial Spokesperson Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the incident and said investigations are in progress to bring the culprits to book.
