Quality Corporate Governance Centre (QCGC) has promised to engage the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, as well as tertiary institutions, to ensure that corporate leadership and ethical leadership ethics will be included at their modules.
Announcing the QCGC “Chairperson’s Lounge” event to be held in Hwange on October 27 this month, Chairperson of the QCGC, Canaan Dube, told journalists in Harare today that his organization has trained a bunch of corporate leaders and prepared reports that have informed the government to take positive arrangements.
He added that QCGC will soon engage regional bodies like the African Union (AU), Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) and COMESA to share knowledge about corporate governance and leadership ethics.
“We will partner with the ministry of education so that we embrace ethical leadership at primary and secondary schools. We are also engaging Zimbabwean universities to have ethical leadership modules, so that we ensure that when these guys complete their education, they will already have acquired ethical leadership skills,” he said.
Advocade Dube also added that his organization has to date trained post graduates from various universities across the country, as well as permanent secretaries in government.
QCGC Chairperson’s Lounge will be a three day event, which will commence on October 27 up to 30. The event is a platform for distinguished leaders who share insights, best practices, and personal experiences that have helped them achieve their goals.
The main objective of this auspicious occasion is to foster a community of leaders and learners who are committed to embracing positive change and self growth in their organizations.
The flashy event agenda will include keynote speeches, presentations, panel discussion, networking, entertainment and interactive sessions, which will provide ample opportunities for learning and networking within corporate leaders of various institutions at local and regional level.
