Harare Man Rapes Two Minor Sibling

A Waterfalls  man has been arrested on allegations of raping two minors.

The man allegedly raped the juvenile’s without protection and then ordered them not to disclose the act to anyone.

According to a police report obtained by this publication, the suspect (name withheld) allegedly went to the minors’ residence on an unknown date in September 2023 and asked them to accompany him to his homestead. The two minor’s agreed and went to the suspect’s house, where he lured the first victim into his bedroom and left the younger sibling in the kitchen.

The suspect allegedly forced the first victim to lie down on his bed and raped her once before sending her to the kitchen and calling victim two. The suspect also allegedly forced her to lie on the bed and raped her once.

He then allegedly ordered the minors not to disclose the despicable act to anyone.

However, a few days after the incident, victim two began to have difficulty walking and had a discharge from her and when her mother (name withheld) enquired on why she was having difficulties on walking, the minor then disclosed the matter to her.

Zimbabwe Republic Police Provincial (ZRP) spokesperson for Harare, Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the incident.

“On an unknown date in September 2023 accused proceeded to complainant’s homestead and asked them to accompany him to his place of residence. The two minors agreed and proceeded to the accused’s place, the accused then lured complainant 01 into his bedroom while the younger sister was left in the kitchen.

“The accused forced complainant 01 to lie down on his bed and raped once. The accused person sent her to the kitchen and called complainant 02. The accused person made her to lie on the bed and raped once.

“The complainants were told not to disclose the act to anyone. After some days, complainant 02 developed some difficulties on walking, and was discharging fluids from her vagina. The complainants’ mother asked complainant 02 why she was having difficulties on walking. She disclosed the matter to her mother.

“Their mother then escorted them to ZRP Waterfalls on 28 September 2100hrs and filed a report. Scene was attended and no arrest was made. Complainants were reoffered to Edith Hospital for treatment. Case is under investigations,” reads the docket.
