Thief Breaks Into Car And Steals USD500 At Prince Edward School

A Waterfalls man is in distress after an as yet unidentified man broke into his vehicle which was parked at Prince Edward School grounds on Saturday.

According to a report made to the police, Dilan Makoni parked his vehicle inside Prince Edward School grounds in the morning, locked all the doors before going to the football pitch.

Upon returning in the afternoon, Makoni allegedly discovered that his money, bank, national identity and medical cards which he had left in the car were missing.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Harare provincial police spokesperson, Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the incident and said investigations are underway.

“On the 28th of October 2023 at around 1100hrs, the complainant parked his motor vehicle inside Prince Edward School at the grounds and locked all the doors with his brown wallet containing cash amounting to 500 united states dollars, national identity card, driver’s licence, medical aid card and bank cards inside the vehicle.

“He went to the football pitch. On same day at around 1430 hours the complainant returned back and found out that an unknown accused person had tempered with the motor vehicle door’s key hole.  He then unlocked it using a remote control and discovered that the above mentioned particulars were stolen,” said Chakanza.
