ZRP Launches Man Hunt For Glen Norah Murder Suspects

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) says its searching for two murder suspects who allegedly killed a drunk man at Specimen shops in Glen Norah, Harare.

In a statement the ZRP said the duo, only identified as Kelvin and Tonderai allegedly assaulted the now deceased with clenched fists on the head and reportedly shoved his head on the metal door frame leading the victim to collapsing and falling to the ground while bleeding profusely.

The incident happened on August 2, 2023.

The victim was taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital where he eventually succumbed to the injuries a few hours later.

Police also implored members of the public to alert the nearest police station if they receive any information which may lead to the arrest of the alleged murderers.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is looking for male middle-aged accused persons only identified as Kelvin and Tonderai who are linked to a recent murder case that occured in Glennorah A Harare at Speciman shops on 2 August 2023.

“Circumstances are that, on the said date at around 0100 the duo allegedly started a quarrel with one male drunkard at Igwe Sports Bar. They went on to drag the man out of the bar, assalted him several times with clenched fists on the head on the metal door frame.

“The victim fell heavily, with his head further crushing into the hard ground. Noticing that the victim was now bleeding profusely from the deep cuts sustained on the head and mouth, the pair suddenly disappeared into the dark of the night. The victim was taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital where he succumbed to injuries a few later,” said ZRP in a statement.
