What seemed like a lucrative deal for a Harare lady of the night ended up being bad omen as it cost her herĀ Huawei Y9 cell-phone and cash.
According to a report made to the police, the victim who is a lady of the night met one Max, in the Harare Avenues area and they agreed to a one night stand at a cost of US$35.
The two temporary love birds allegedly then boarded a commuter omnibus to Whitehouse suburbs on the outskirts of Harare and disembarked at an unknown open space.
The pair was then allegedly approached by the two unidentified suspects. The suspects turned out to be Max’s accomplices as he allegedly teamed up with them as they took took turns to rape her without protection.
The suspects also took her Huawei Y9 cellphone and US$10 in cash before they ordered her to run away from the scene. She was helped by a well-wisher only identified as Chris who found her at Kuwadzana Paddocks and took her to ZRP Kuwadzana.
Zimbabwe Republic Police Provincial (ZRP) spokesperson for Harare, Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the incident and said investigations are in progress.
“Complainant and the accused persons are strangers. On 6 November 2023 around 2100 hours, complainant who is a lady of the night met one of the accused persons known as Max NFPK in the Harare Avenues and they agreed on a one night stand for US$35-00.
“They then boarded an omnibus to Whitehouse and disembarked at an unknown open space. They were approached by the two accused persons and the three accused persons took turns to rape complainant without protection.
“The accused took complainant’s Huawei Y9 cellphone and cash US$10-00 before they ordered complainant to run away from the scene. Complainant was helped by a well-wisher only identified as Chris who resides in Crowborough North suburb. He found her at Kuwadzana Paddocks and brought her to ZRP Kuwadzana. A report was made at ZRP Kuwadzana.
“Scene was attended and no arrest or recoveries were made. Complainant was referred to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital for medical examination. Total value stolen is US$70-00. Investigations are in progress,” said Chakanza.
