The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have confirmed the arrest of a 26-year old Chipinge man who allegedly locked up and burnt his 3 year old daughter to death inside a house.
Meanwhile, two other victims from the same incident are reportedly battling for life in Hospital.
Tawanda Bright Majecha was arrested after allegedly committing the malicious act which is suspected to have emanated from a domestic dispute.
In a statement the ZRP said Majecha allegedly committed the crime on the 16th of November in Gaza, Chipinge.
“Majecha is being held in connection with a case of murder which occurred at a house in Gaza E, Chipinge on 16 November 2023 in which his 3-year old daughter died while two other victims were injured when the suspect allegedly locked the victims in the house and set it ablaze after a domestic dispute,” said the police.
The police added that the other two victims who were rescued by neighbours sustained burns.
